Popular places that had to be shut down to tackle over-tourism and waste issue

Recently Indonesia announced that it will be banning tourist’s entry to Komodo Island from January 2020, in a move to conserve the world’s largest living lizard species. Reportedly, the authorities have decided to close down the place for public at least for a year, as the number of dragons in the island has decreased in the past few years, supposedly because of over-tourism and poaching.
