Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain peak and a hikers' paradise is on fire

Africa’s highest peak Mount Kilimanjaro has been on fire since October 12, and around 500 volunteers are trying to douse the flames. Earlier in 2019, the Amazon rainforest was on fire, whereas during the beginning of this year, bushfire devastated parts of Australia. As per the reports, Africa's highest peak is now ablaze, and efforts are underway to bring it under control. Tons of tourists from across the globe travel to Tanzania to climb this dormant volcano every year.
