Indian Railways rakes in INR 12,159 crore from festive rush

Indian Railways earned INR 12,159.35 crore from ticket sales between September 1 and October 31 due to festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi, Dussehra, and Diwali. The railways recorded 143.71 crore passengers, with the central zone having the highest footfall at 31.63 crore. Over 7,663 special trains were introduced to manage the increased rush.
